October 12 Newsletter – Corrections

There was a software issue that caused most of the links in our October 12 e-mail newsletter to redirect to our home page instead of the intended websites. Here are the corrected links for your reference.

  • Our new Job Board is online and available to both local area employers and job seekers. If you’re looking for I.T. talent or employment in the Ocala / Marion County area, this page can be a great, free resource for you! (http://ocalaitpros.server302.com/jobs/)
  • The 2015 Gainesville Startup Weekend is an opportunity for those with an idea for a startup or new product to take it from the idea stage to startup in a single weekend and win prizes at the same time. The event runs from October 23 – 25 at the University of Florida’s Infinity Hall. Tickets are available on EventBrite.com.
  • The Community Technical & Adult Education Center’s CyberSecurity Program is proving to be a great success. The program has achieved a 100% pass rate through the efforts of Lead Instructor William Kratzer and Program Manager Scott Carpenter. At their recent Advisory Meeting, Facility Director Deborah Jenkins announced that the school also has an overall job placement rate of 84% for its students. You can also read about the Capture the Flag competition that CTAE held earlier this year with students from the Information Technology program at Marion Technical Institute.

The issue with the links has been corrected and you can read more about these and other local tech events by signing up for our newsletter. Just enter your e-mail on our home page or on the right side of your screen and we’ll send you periodic updates of our upcoming meetings and news of other local resources.
