Whether you’re involved in web development or simply want to continue learning about computer technology in general, database design is and will remain a fundamental aspect of computer technology and should not remain a mystery to anyone who needs to manage data of any kind.  MySQL Explained is a step-by-step guide to database technology that’s written especially for a non-technical audience.

This book starts with the basics of database technology and demonstrates the principles of database design in a clear and accessible way using multiple everyday examples. You’ll learn how MySQL compares to other database solutions, the options for installing it and the process for modeling your data. You’ll also get the specifics of how to store and retrieve data from your finished database and options for creating a user interface for others to access.
