While a Bachelor’s Degree is generally preferred, candidates are also able to qualify based on years of industry experience. If you have the necessary qualifications and would like to be a mentor to others others trying to develop these skills, this is a chance to ensure that individuals coming into your field are properly prepared to gain the necessary certifications to enter the workforce and face the challenges you’ve experienced first-hand.

Marion Technical College is currently looking for instructors for the following areas of I.T.:

A+ / Security+ / Network+ –  Marion Technical has established and successful Technology Support Services and  Applied Cybersecurity programs in which students gain the necessary skills to pass all three of these CompTIA certifications. The college is currently looking for additional instructors to help teach both day and night classes according to the demands of enrollment. New instructors would work with the current faculty and administration to continue building the college’s technology course offerings and help recruit additional students.

Candidates who are currently certified in at least one of the above areas are preferred. Teaching experience is also preferred, however this is also an opportunity for the right person to begin a new teaching career within the Marion County Public School system. Instructors are expected to help promote the school’s programs and recruit students so we need people who are enthusiastic about technology and want to share that enthusiasm with others to help them succeed!

With technology continuing to advance and the demands of the industry growing with it, we are currently seeing a shortage of qualified I.T. people in Marion County as in the rest of the country. We need more people for the jobs that are going unfilled and we need great instructors to train them. This is your chance to make a positive impact on your industry and share your experience!
